Hruboskalske Rock Town
The Hruboskalske Rock Town (it is also known as "Skalak" among mountaineers)
is formed from about 400 sandstone towers almost 60 m high (380 m
above the sea level). It includes a number of natural places of interest
such as the Bukovina Botanical Garden, the rock formation known as
"Mysi dira" ("Mouse Hole"), sandstone towers, rock gates and pine
woods. The valuable archaeological findings (such as "Certova ruka")
and sights among them such as the Valdstejn Castle, the Hruba Skala
Chateau, the Kopica´s Farmstead and the Kvaciny small stone castle
are also located here. The tourist path known as the Golden Route
of Cesky Raj, which includes a number of look-outs, goes along the
ridge trail. |
