Hruba Skala
The renaissance Chateau of Hruba Skala was built on sandstone rocks
on the site of a medieval castle, which was founded in the 14th century.
It was renovated after a fire in 1710, modified and completed with
an English park in 1804 and re-built in a neo-gothic style in 1859.
Hruba Skala has become to a large recreation centre today. The new-Gothic
St. Joseph (Joseph's) Church encloses the west area in front of the
Chateau. Visitors can enter the courtyard and enjoy a beautiful view
from the tower look-out to the area of Hruboskalsko, Trosky and Kozakov.
