Prague Environs
 This
region is the surrounding area of the Capital City Prague. Thanks
to its beautiful scenery it is a significant recreation area, used
for short trips in particular. A lot of private cottages are concentrated
in this area and their owners stay here over weekends and on holidays.
Retired people particularly visit the area very often. They spend
almost two thirds of the year outside Prague. This area is also suitable
for camping and includes a number of campsites. Two of the most beautiful
castles in the Czech Republic - Karlstejn and Krivoklat, which are
set in two of the most significant protected landscape areas known
as the Czech Karst (Cesky kras) and the Krivoklatsko Region, attract
domestic tourists as well as visitors from abroad.
