Czech Music
It
is said about the Czechs that "Every Czech is a musician." This
widespread saying is almost true as the Czech nation has been linked
with music since long before the Middle Ages. Music, above all the
arts, made the Czech nation famous. It played an important role
in the history of the nobility, churches and cloisters, towns and
villages. Music also played a part in political and religious events
in the country - Hussite and Protestant Reformation or national
revival. It was and it continues to be a part of everyday life for
the Czech people.
